Evil Cases, Calendars, Screenings & Holidays
USA network has the beginings of a website for “A Case Of Evil” which, while it doesn’t have anything much of interest yet, does have a trailer for the film. You can see the trailer at http://usanetwork.com/movies/caseofevil/. Be sure to check back at the site for updates.
There is also a discussion thread on the movie from a theatrical preview that some of the board members attended (The board is U.K. based and so the alternative title “Sherlock” is used rather than the originally titled “A Case Of Evil” which is still being used in the U.S. It also includes a short review (very favorable for Richard as Mycroft:- “Spot on”…..”Intelligent”…..”Commanding”.) Thanks go to Barb for this news.
Pat has announced that the unofficial REG Calendar for 2003 is ready for production. Pat needs to work out payment details at this stage and, once again, part of the payment will be a donation to Waterford. Pat plans on keeping the cost as low as she can, asking just for shipping, the Waterford donation and a small amount for the production costs. The more orders she gets the cheaper it will be, so anyone who’s interested in the calendar can contact Pat through the mailing list. Pat will also ship internationally.
Emma M has found these upcoming REG listings on Sky TV (UK).

And finally, as of the 23rd September I will be in the U.S. for a month or so. News on the REG Temple will probably not be updated as much as it normally is, but I’ll at least try and make sure all the important news is posted as soon as possible. If anyone needs to contact me you can still do that through the normal email addresses found on the Temple site. I’m not sure how soon I can get back to you, however.
Not long after I return there will be a few more new features on the site. Stay tuned!

Excerpt from “The Assassin’s Cloak”
Saga Magazine – 17th September 2002
By Alan and Irene Taylor
“During the filming of Withnail And I a dastardly trick is pulled upon my unsuspecting tonsils during the Drinking of the Lighter Fluid scene. During rehearsal water is the fake fluid. Come the take, and “ACTION” has me upending the little yellow tin down my gullet, and undiluted vinigar hits my pipes. I gag, gasp and hope I haven’t swallowed Swarfega, demand, “GOT ANY MORE?” With demented relish, and then collapse out of sight and vomit. “That’s the one. Print it.” announces a satisfied [Bruce] Robinson, full of delight at having duped me.”
