Richard E Grant filming The Fear in Bath

A new TV drama starring Richard E Grant which was partly filmed in Bath starts tonight.

Channel 4 chose several locations in the area for its four-part series The Fear, which begins at 10pm.

Filming took place earlier this year at Margaret’s Buildings, Kingswood School and at the Circle Bath hospital in Peasedown St John.

The Fear stars Peter Mullan – who was in Tyrannosaur and War Horse – as the head of a respected Brighton family with a murky past, battling threats to his business whilst dealing with the onset of early Alzheimer’s disease. Grant plays a plastic surgeon in the drama, which is being shown for the next four nights.

Written by celebrated writer Rick Cottan and directed by Bafta-winning director Michael Samuels, it also stars onetime EastEnder Paul Nicholls and Game of Thrones and Iron Lady actor Harry Lloyd.
