Richard To Appear On “Rev” This Thursday

December6

Various Sources – 6th December, 2011

Richard will appear in Episode 5, Series 2 of “Rev”, which airs on BBC2 at 9.00PM on Thursday 8th December. In the episode there is a hole in the church accounts and the archdeacon is ready to pounce. Salvation appears to come in the form of a wealthy City banker, Marcus (played by Richard E. Grant) who arrives at St Saviour’s to join Alcoholics Anonymous. However, Adam’s mind is not on balancing the books – serial blagger Mick has arrived on the vicarage doorstep with a much bigger ask than the usual twenty quid and Adam takes a huge risk.

Below is a scene from the episode featuring REG. Adam goes to the pub with Marcus to tell him about the community work they do at the church. The constant need for help is only getting worse with the economic downturn and Marcus claims to see evidence of this everyday. But perhaps Marcus is a bit out of touch…

Remake Of Patrick Receives Funding And Artwork

Screen Australia have just committed funding to director Mark Hartley’s take on the on the classic 1978 Australian tale, which should mean that the project will move ahead soon. I asked Richard if he was indeed going to be in the film and he said that he had been approached about the Patrick remake but nothing was signed or sealed at this stage — though keep in mind this was two weeks back and he might’ve signed by now.

Sharni Vinson and Rachel Griffiths will also star in the film. And, yes, that is the film’s brand new sales art up above.
