Richard E. Grant Doodles To Support Cornwall Wildlife Trust

November23

REG has lent his hand and doodled a drawing to help raise funds for Cornwall Wildlife Trust. As can be seen above, REG has drawn a very stylized dolphin.

The auction is taking place to celebrate the Trust’s 50th anniversary. Earlier in the year, the Cornwall Wildlife Trust asked celebrities to draw marine-themed doodles. Along with REG are doodles from celebrities such as Michael Morpurgo, Jo Brand, Emma Thompson, Joanna Lumley, Bill Oddie, Frank Skinner, Alan Titchmarsh, Angela Griffin, and Sir Ben Kingsley. All artwork is to be auctioned online. The auction is due to finish at 9am on Sunday 2nd December.

Dania Shaw, from Cornwall Wildlife Trust, said: “We are thrilled to have received such a large number of doodles from such a diverse group of celebrities.”

She said they were “hoping to raise over £5000 for Cornwall’s wildlife and wild places”.

Artists from Cornwall have also contributed work for the online auction, which runs on eBay until 2 December, including illustrators Rebecca Cobb and Michael Foreman.

UPDATE: The winning bid on REG’s doodle was £56.55 – a steal if you ask us!

No idea of air dates just yet, or if indeed the show has been confirmed by REG, but we’ll keep you posted.
