TV Zone magazine have made Doctor Who their cover story for the issue coming out closest to the series’ 40th anniversary.

The cover shows three Doctors – Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy, the sixth and seventh TV Doctors, plus Richard E Grant’s ninth Doctor from BBCi.

TV Zone’s founding editor Jan Vincent-Rudzki tells us it’s really an homage to the Radio Times’ tenth anniversary Special cover from 1973.

Issue 170 of the long-running cult television magazine from Visual Imagination includes the following Doctor Who content:

Richard E Grant tells TV Zone about his animated Doctor – interviewed during recording for the BBCi webcast Scream of the Shalka.

TV Zone also chats to Sophie Okonedo and Craig Kelly who co-star in the online drama.

Plus, their season-by-season look at Doctor Who on BBCtv covers the Trial season of Colin Baker and the first for Sylvester McCoy. That includes the series being, ahem, rested – and the hoo-hah that developed.

TV Zone #170 is officially published on 13th November, the same day that BBCi premieres Scream of the Shalka online.
