A Modest Success

July15

“Tell them I’ll wear whatever they want!” was Richard E. Grant’s parting shot as he left the Elle offices, leaving behind him the distinct impression that the idea of doing a fashion shoot was one big hoot.

Sue has sent in an early REG article from 1987 – 15 years ago to the month! – with some pretty cool pics. You can check that out here.

And for all you UKers out there, according to Emma, these films are on TV soon.

Warlock (Film)
Starting: 02:15 on Monday 22nd July. Duration: 1 hour and 50 minutes
Showing on Sky Movies Max 4.

Henry and June (Film)
Starting: 00:25 on Thursday 25th July. Duration: 2 hours and 15 minutes
Showing on Sky Movies Cinema 2.

Thanks Sue & Emma.

Hitting The Nail On The Head

July13

Jolie has sent me an article from UK Time Out Magazine which was published in 1996. You can read that here.

We’re still ironing out various bugs in the REG Temple Forum. Anyone who wants to help evaluate it can just email me and I’ll let you know what needs to happen.

Hildegard In Oz

July11

For Aussie REG fans (particularly those of you in Queensland), you’ll be able to get a dose of “New REG” later on this weekend. Details are below:

11th Brisbane International Film Festival (Australian Children’s Film Festival component)

Hildegard

Following their father’s death, Christopher, Jeremy and Isobel struggle to adapt to their new life. Their pet duck Hildegarde, a favourite of their father’s, becomes the focus of their lives. When she disappears, they set out in the families battered old ute to rescue her from the clutches of a bird smuggler. Warm-hearted, fast-paced action set in the Gold Coast hinterland, starring Tara Morice, Tom Long and Richard E. Grant as the evil wolf.

14th July 2.30pm and 15th July 10am at the Regent in Brisbane. 167 Queen St. Mall Brisbane.
Ticket hotline (07) 3007 3007

Also Suzanne tells me that you can buy some great REG pictures from a couple of websites on the net. The first site is www.mirrorpix.com (just go to “search” and type in REG’s name), and the second is www.rexfeatures.com. Check them out if you have some spare time (and spare cash).

REG Temple Forum Evaluation

July9

The “second phase” of testing and evaluation is currently taking place with the new REG Temple Forum. As yet there is no release date for the forum to go online as far as the general public is concerned, but it probably won’t be too far down the track now. The first wave of “beta testers” are busy having a play around with it, adding comments and suggestions and generally seeing which parts will “break” and which parts seem OK.

If anyone else out there is interested in being a beta tester just drop me a line via email.
