REG has sent in a “mini report” during a break in the south of France. In it he updates the REGiment on upcoming screen dates for “Monsieur N” and “The Hound Of The Baskervilles” and what to expect from him in the coming months. You can read the latest REG report here.

REG Takes Argos Upmarket & Goes “Foreward” Himself

August4

A short article from The Guardian about Richard’s appearance in the new series of Argos TV advertisments can be found here, courtesy of Jolie.

Jolie also sent me a copy of the foreward that REG wrote for this year’s BP Portrait Award Book. You can find that one here.

Finally, a snippet from the Daily Mail that Joann sent me the other day:

“Upper-crust actor Richard E. Grant, 44, is currently filming a drama remake of The Hound Of The Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle for the BBC. So which character does he play in the new film? “Er, I can’t remember actually”, he admits. What a humiliating business!”

A bit out of date with the “current” part, but who are we to argue?

REG Inside The Studio

August3

For those REG fans who are in the UK (and who get the Studio Channel on TV), Sue informs me that Richard will be appearing on Tuesday, August 13th at 8.50pm on the program “Inside The Studio.” The blurb for the program reads:

“Getting Started.

Ever wondered how all those Hollywood stars got on the road to fame on the silver screen? Go “inside the studio” with actors Richard E Grant, Kevin Bacon, John Hannah and Oscar-nominee Susan Sarandon, who are just a few of the famous faces in this programme who talk exclusively about how they got their first break in the movie business. Guest Starring Richard E Grant, Kevin Bacon, John Hannah and Susan Sarandon.”

Keep an eye out for it!

Radio2 Telephone Interview From Grosvenor House

August2

Denise has sent me the transcript from the late night Radio2 interview that REG did earlier on this year.

REG attended the star-studded Grosvenor House Art and Antiques Fair Charity Gala evening while he was on “break” from filming Monsieur N. Apparently there were some £400 million pounds worth of fine arts and antiques on show and up for bidding. Not sure if Richard himself bought anything though? You can read the interview here.

Thanks to Denise for the transcript.
