According to sources (Denise and Joan) REG is narrating “The People’s Hollywood” on BBCi right now as I type. Both Joan and Denise apologise for not noticing this earlier, but if some of you in the U.K. are quick enough you might just be able to catch some of it before it’s over. One of the TV guide reviews for the program states:

The People’s Hollywood – BBCi, Sunday 10.30 pm.

“Yes, it’s another clip show, but this one is rather more engaging than most, as it consists of previously unseen home movie footage of stars such as Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, Clark Gable and Steve McQueen”

Richard is talking faster than usual so obviously has changed his style for this!

Denise tells me that the latest Argos advertisement is currently showing on British TV. In this one Zak opens the door of his country house (with PA by his side) where outside are a group of carol singers.

“They are singing one of mine! Give them all a present.” Orders Zak

Then there’s some voiceover about Argos.

The next scene is outside the house, which is glittering with snow of course, and a large crowd of people all singing. A delighted Zak at door calls out “Presents for everyone!”
