Both Denise and Stargazer noticed the familiar form of REG at the “Julie Walter’s – A BAFTA Tribute” the other night (Friday) on the BBC. Stargazer even managed to tape the show and get a few screen-grabs of Richard for us at the Temple.
Although there were several close ups of Richard, he was not an invited speaker during the programme.
Julie’s friend and comedy partner, Victoria Woods, presented the award and the event was compared by Clive Anderson.

Thanks for the pics and the reports, guys.

Just a small item today. Joan emailed me a scrap of an article, that she found in OK Magazine, in which REG helped to raise money for the National Deaf Children’s Society in which celebrities were quizzed on general knowledge. This all took place in late November at the Counting House Pub in London, and the first prize went to “The Fast Show” table. It’s not sure exactly what table REG was at but there are a couple of nice pictures to accompany the blurb. You can find that here.

REG sighted – Friday 19th December 2003
Richard was spotted at the “Julie Walter’s – A BAFTA Tribute” programme which aired on BBCi.
Although there were several close ups of Richard, he was not an invited speaker during the programme.
“Killing Dad” featured in several of the video compilations and we also had the snippet from “Dinnerladies” where Julie (in the guise of Victoria’s unkempt mother) utters the words “once you’ve had sex with Richard E Grant a bunch of old pensioners is a bit of a comedown.”
Julie’s friend and comedy partner, Victoria Woods, presented the award. The event was compared by Clive Anderson.

Way back in the mists of time (well, maybe not THAT far back) we had a link in one of the Temple News items to the Danny Baker website. From there, you could scroll down and find an audio link for Richard’s appearance on Danny’s “After All” television show which took place way back in 1993 (though at the time of the news item we thought it was a bit later than that).
As these links can invariably disappear over the years we’ve managed to snag a copy of the audio interview, join it back into one file (Danny Baker’s website had the interview in three parts) and then add it to the Temple site. If you haven’t heard it before, or you just wanna reminisce, then click here and find out what happened to who and where?

As promised, I’ve finished formatting the report from Joan of Richard’s appearance with Kathy Lette at the Savoy on Tuesday night. It includes a rather amusing incident involving Richard and a chair, but you’ll have to wait until you scroll down to it.
Joan also managed to snap off a few photographs of the event and scan them for everyone to see. Anyhow, sit back and read Joan’s account of the night here.
Much thanks to Joan for the report.
