Richard’s eBay Doodle Result

February23

Richard’s doodle sold on eBay for the tidy sum of £67.56 GBP ($125.75 US) and was successfully “won” by an American bidder, Bagleyboil. It’s good to know that the doodle went to a genuine REG fan rather than some “celebrity reseller” type organisation. No idea on who the real identity of Bagleyboil is, but congratulations from The REG Temple on the successful bid. There were a healthy 33 bids overall.

Back In Australia

February19

OK, I’m now back in Australia (with a touch of jetlag to boot). There’s a few things I need to update, news wise, but I need some confirmation from REG about one of them, “Colour Me Kubrick” – a new movie about a man who pretends he’s Stanley Kubrick in the last days of Kubrick’s life. REG apparently plays a cameo part in it. Stay tuned for further news on this.

Speaking of cameos, I managed to see “Bright Young Things” on the plane home from the U.S. Fell asleep in the dying minutes of it unfortunately, but Amy filled me in on how it ended. Really enjoyed what I saw of it though and probably only missed out on about 5 or 10 minutes.

Finally, Joan informs me that Richard is narrating a series of programmes on channel 4 called “The Regency House Party” (apologies for not alerting people sooner but I was on a plane). They air on Saturday nights at 9:05PM and runs for an hour. The show is about a group of people who go back to regency times and dress up exactly as they did at the house parties in that era and to look for romance anyway look out for it next week on Channel 4.

Thanks Joan.
