Frasier For U.K. TV Sometime In June

May27

Jolie informs me that the final episode of Frasier (in which REG appears as one of Daphne’s brothers) will air on U.K. TV’s C4 channel sometime in June. Aussie fans can only hope that channel 9 will screw up and accidently play a RECENT episode of Frasier, rather than the endless loop of 5 year old episodes currently airing on weeknights. Who knows?? We might be lucky!

For those of you who want to know what happens before they actually see it, you might want to check out a website of Frasier transcripts at http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Derby/3267/ and see if they have the last episode up online yet.

From all reports it sounds like REG did well in his first American sitcom appearance.

Thanks guys.

“Monsieur N” Available On Amazon France

May26

Rosemary and Joan would like everyone to know that “Monsieur N” is now available on Amazon France on video and DVD for a reasonable price (a total sum of 26.74 euros for the DVD. This includes French tax and postage and packaging to the UK). The equivalent at today’s rate (26th May) in English pounds is £17.99 which is a good price for a DVD and postage & packaging.

Please note that this is the French version though and, for the main part, won’t have English subtitles.

Thanks for the news guys!

REG “Arts Up” For Shooting Star Charity

May17

Denise went to the Shooting Star gala last night and really enjoyed the night. In the programme there was a list of messages from those stars who were unable to perform or attend the event. There’s a quote from REG in there:

“Best wishes for a wonderfully successful evening, hope you raise lots & lots of money, sorry I can’t be with you. – Richard E Grant”

There was also details of artwork provided by celebrities on the theme of a Shooting Star which are being auctioned off for the charity. The blurb to Richard’s artwork states:

“This artwork has been painted and donated by Richard E. Grant. A Patron of Shooting Star Hospice for Children and accomplished actor. Although unable to take part in the Gala, Richard sent his best wishes for success.

This was painted using acrylic paints on a 5 inch by 7 inch canvas board.”

You can find the link at: http://boxer.ebid.co.uk/perl/objects/auction.cgi?auction=1083841854-57083-36&mo=auction

Thanks heaps to Denise for the report.

What’s On Teev?

May12

For U.K. fans, Joan informs me that Hudson Hawk is showing on Channel 5 this coming Sunday at 9.00 pm (it is the Bruce Willis season!). Rosemary also says that The Hound Of The Baskervilles is being shown on Sunday as well (though I’m not sure which channel so keep your eyes peeled for it).

Stargazer emailed me to say that REG is on the sci-fi channel quite a few times in May! Apparently they are showing Bram Stoker’s Dracula from May 7th and repeating it a fair few times – So there’s no excuse if you miss it!

May 17th – 10PM
May 18th – 2:25AM
May 22nd – 10PM
May 23rd – 2:15AM
May 27th – 11:35PM

Please keep in mind that these are UK airings.

Elliot informs me that REG can be seen in the Oxfam commercial on the DVD version of “Love Actually” (staring another Grant, from memory). It’s included on the disk as one of the “special features”.

And finally, Rosemary tells me that Monsieur N can be bought from Amazon France – but in Euros. At the moment it’s still not available on the English version of Amazon DotCom.
