God Of The Week.

Richard E was on a radio interview this morning. He mentioned that he's contracted to do some more PIMPERNELS if the BBC wish to make more next year. There are 12 books in total (3 down) - so in theory there is potential for several more should everyone be happy to go for it!

He also mentioned that his next movie THE MATCH sees him as part of an ensemble cast. He plays a working class Scottish salesman (someone was brave enough to cast him against type, he said).

Two opposing football teams wish to end a century old feud and the prize is ownership of the opposition's local pub! It is a very funny British movie according to REG!

He talked a bit about making PIMPERNEL, location, costs, luxuries, downside, positives, etc, the books were mentioned, then he was asked to answer a series of questions according to a set show format. -

The guest of the show (this time REG ) is elected 'God Of The Week' and answer the following (same Q's each week for whichever 'God' is guesting):

Q - Who do you wish to share a cloud with for a week?

A - Besides family it would be Aretha Franklin. 1, because she's agoraphobic (dislikes leaving her home) so it would get her out and about(!), 2, he could listen to her sing her greatest hits all week!

Q - Who would you send a thunderbolt on?

A - All the dictators of the world. He'd stash them in one room, and thunderbolt them all in one go!

Q - One godly act ?

A - To cure the world of AIDS as its way overdue.

This was Richard's 3rd time as 'God Of The Week' on Radio 1, so was told he should feel very honoured (tongue-in-cheek)!
